The UFC is hosting an unprecedented event, UFC Freedom 250, at the White House, featuring a series of fights on the South Lawn to celebrate 250 years of the United States, coinciding with US president Donald Trump‘s 80th birthday.
Organised by UFC president and CEO Dana White, a close friend of Trump, the event will take place on Sunday 14 June, with fights commencing at 5pm PT / 7pm CT / 8pm ET (1am BST on Monday).
The fight card, despite some fan disappointment regarding its overall quality, includes significant bouts such as Ilia Topuria vs Justin Gaethje for the lightweight title and Alex Pereira vs Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title.
Access to the White House event is invite-only, primarily for military personnel, with approximately 4,300 attendees; however, fans could apply for free tickets to watch the fights from the Ellipse park, adjacent to the White House.
Viewers in the US and UK can stream the event live on Paramount+, with UK audiences also having access via TNT Sports and HBO Max.
