There’s good news for gameshow fans as a new celebrity series is set to hit ITV screens very soon.
Fronted by Gary Lineker, The Box will see 10 well-known faces dropped at a mystery location as they need to complete a challenge.
Although they won’t know what task lies ahead until the doors open, it could be physical, mental, logical, funny, a bit daunting or all of those at once.
A synopsis for the show reads: “With minimal or no instruction, they must decipher and work out what to do. At the end of each episode, two players will battle it out in The Duel, a high-stakes head-to-head game to avoid elimination.
“The Box promises shocking reveals, mind-bending puzzles, and plenty of twists across the series. “

This week, a sneak peek of what people can expect from The was teased to ITV viewers with a new teaser trailer. It showed a compilation of the celebrities taking part, including The One Show’s JB Gill and The Chase’s Jenny Ryan, all looking extremely nervous.
Dragons’ Den star Sara Davies commented: “This is a bit terrifying, isn’t it?” Gary Lineker then appeared on screen, telling the camera: “They’re scared.”
People then saw various locations where the yellow boxes had been placed, before the doors opened up, and they all ran outside. Gary appeared on-screen, telling the stars: “You can forget World Cup penalty shootouts, this is way tenser.”

The clip then ended on Joey Essex with his mouth wide open in shock as he asked, ‘Oh, my god. Where am I?”, before the camera zoomed out to show Brighton i360, suggesting he’d been placed on top of it.
They captioned the post: “They won’t know what awaits them until the doors open… and by then, it’s too late to turn back. Gary Lineker hosts The Box, coming soon to ITV.”
It wasn’t long before people commented on the teaser, with many sharing their excitement. One person said: “Can’t wait for this!!!” Another commented: “Ahh, I’ve been waiting for this!!” Someone else shared: “About time.”

One viewer added: “Can’t wait to see The Box.” As another person commented: “Can’t wait ITV!”

Speaking about fronting the show, Gary Lineker commented: “Host Gary Lineker says: “From my experience, the most successful teams are built on a mix of strengths and abilities, and that’s exactly what we’ve got with this lineup.
“I’m excited to be on the sideline with a front row seat to see all the action unfold!”
