A fantasy romance series declared “perfect” by viewers has been added to ITVX.
Fallen, which is based on the bestselling 2009 novel of the same name by Lauren Kate, is now available to stream on the platform.
The series stars Jessica Alexander as Lucinda ‘Luce’ Price, a young woman who is sent to the Sword and Cross reform facility for a serious crime that she can’t even recall. While she’s there, she meets Daniel Grigori (Gijs Blom), a young man she feels drawn to.

The series – which also stars Ted Lasso’s Sarah Niles and Game of Thrones’ Alexander Siddig – was a huge hit when it was released in 2024, with viewers calling it “captivating” and saying that it had them “hooked”.
“Actors Jessica Alexander and Gijs Blom are spellbinding, buzzing with chemistry, and have the ability to bounce off better one another’s performances amongst the mystery surrounding Sword and Cross,” one critic posted on reviews website Rotten Tomatoes.
“Perfect, isn’t the same thing as the books, but I loved the adaptation, the story is so amazing,” said a viewer.
One commented: “As someone who has read the entire book series and then later, watched the 2016 film version, I can confidently say that the show is a great watch.
“Some parts differ from the books but the main storyline is followed well… Even without reading the books or seeing the movie, it’s still a great stand-alone show filled with myth and mystery.”

“I absolutely LOVED this show!! It made me start reading the books!” said one fan on Reddit, as another said they were left “in awe” after watching the series.
“Idk if anyone else has watched this before but Fallen the TV series is MAD GOOD!” one impressed viewer remarked on X, which was formerly Twitter.
“I found out about it last night and stayed up all night watching it (which a show hasn’t made me do in a while). If you can, stream now!”
