Mystery in New York as groups filmed emerging from Brooklyn sewer manholes
Crews investigate sewer hole after 7 people emerge from it
Seven individuals were captured on surveillance footage emerging from a manhole in Brooklyn‘s Gravesend neighbourhood around 2 am on Friday, before quickly departing in waiting vehicles.
This incident occurred approximately an hour after a similar group of eight people was observed entering and later exiting a sewer manhole in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, around 1 a.m.
The New York Police Department (NYPD) is currently investigating both occurrences to ascertain if they are connected, though the reason for the individuals being underground remains unknown.
The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has warned that entering the sewer system is illegal and highly dangerous due to potential hazards like noxious gases and unstable conditions.
