Damien Molony is currently playing Dan in the BBC’s new star-studded thriller Two Weeks in August.
The actor, 42, who is also known for Brassic, The Split and Bergerac, joins Jessica Raine, Nicholas Pinnock, Antonia Thomas, Leila Farzad, Hugh Skinner, Dolly Wells and Tom Goodman-Hill in the new show.
Written and created by Sally4Ever’s Catherine Shepherd, the new ‘witty and painfully relatable’ series follows a group of friends who reunite for a summer holiday in Greece.
However, the picture-perfect getaway is quickly thrown into turmoil by an illicit kiss and things go from bad to worse when the group are left trapped on the island.

With Damien, who grew up in Kildare, Ireland, taking centre stage in the new series, viewers will be wondering about his life off-screen and away from the cameras…
Damien lives in London with his wife, son and daughter. However, he chooses to keep his family private but has provided rare updates on his loved ones over the years.
Talking to HELLO! in the past, Damien opened up on how he balances his career with fatherhood.
The actor said: “I obviously make a huge effort to see everyone at the weekends, but it’s also about how we communicate that to the family in general, not just the children.
“It’s like: ‘These are the parameters, these are the dates and these are the ways we’re going to make this work.’

Damien also sweetly revealed how his family come to visit him while working in Jersey for Bergerac.
He quipped: “Yes, they come out. I love it. Every year, when we’re waiting for news of a new series, I feel as though my family are probably more interested in finding out than I am. They have more skin in the game; they love it.”
