Donald Trump will not attend his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr.’s, wedding to Bettina Anderson, which is reportedly taking place in the Bahamas this weekend.
Trump initially told reporters he would “try to make” the intimate ceremony but cited the “Iran war” as a reason for potential absence, with sources later confirming he would skip it.
He stated he would be criticised by “fake news” whether he attended or not, and also suggested his absence would help keep the small ceremony private.
Instead of attending the wedding, Trump’s weekend schedule indicates he will remain in Bedminster, New Jersey, likely at his golf club.
This will be Donald Trump Jr.’s second marriage and third engagement, with the wedding expected to be a private affair with fewer than 50 guests.
