Cat Deeley has said she and Patrick Kielty are “doing their best” to co-parent after ending their marriage.

The TV presenters, who wed in 2012, announced the news in July 2025, stating: “We have taken the decision to end our marriage and are now separated. There is no other party involved.

At the time, they said they “will continue to be united as loving parents to our children” – sons Milo, 10 and James, eight – and Deeley, 49, has opened up about life after their separation in a new interview.

Deeley told The Sunday Times they co-parent their children “50-50”, adding: “It’s about being as organised as you can possibly be.” She said that while the admin leaves her mind racing while lying in bed at night, before her early stat to host ITV daytime series This Morning, she has assistance from “an amazing nanny too”.

The host added: “Everybody’s doing their best.”

Deeley and Kielty, 55, had known each other for years before becoming a romantic item, hosting Fame Academy together for two series in 2002 and 2003.

The couple wed in September 2012 at a ceremony in Rome. They have two sons together – one born in January 2016 and another June 2018. The couple lived in Los Angeles for more than a decade but more recently moved to north London.

Before marrying Kielty, 54, Deeley, 48, was married to businessman Mark Whelan for five years. They divorced in 2006.

Northern Irish comedian and presenter Kielty was in a high-profile relationship with Irish model Amanda Bryam for five years, separating in 2003.

Deeley has hosted ITV’s This Morning alongside Ben Shephard since early 2024, replacing Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.
