  • Germany has blamed Russia for an attempted explosive drone attack at Leipzig/Halle Airport on 4 August.
  • The explosive device was discovered near a Ukrainian aircraft and successfully defused.
  • German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt said that the incident corresponds with a known pattern of Russian hybrid operations and the assumption was that Germany would be targeted again.
