One person has been reportedly killed and six others injured following a clash between youths of Buskuwa and Mabani communities in Gamawa Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
The clash was said to have occured on Monday night after three youths from Mabani were allegedly attacked by suspected Buskuwa youths.
The three victims-Babangida Musa, 20, Usman Abdu, 20, and Ya’u Muhammad, 18, were reportedly attacked with sticks around 8pm while on their way to Buskuwa.
A statement issued by the Bauchi Police Command revealed that the attack triggered a reprisal later that night, with one Jumba Adamu allegedly mobilising youths from Mabani to Buskuwa, where residents were attacked.

One of the victims, identified as Muhammadu Dare, was killed in the attack, while six others sustained various degrees of injuries.
The command said its personnel from Gamawa Division, supported by hunters and vigilante members, responded to the incident and evacuated the injured and the corpse to General Hospital, Gamawa.
According to the police, three of the injured victims were admitted for treatment, while three others were treated and discharged.
Spokesman of the Command, SP Nafiu Habib, said one suspect had been arrested, while efforts were ongoing to apprehend others linked to the violence.
He added that preliminary investigation had commenced and the case would be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation and prosecution.
The Commissioner of Police, Sani-Omolori Aliyu, condemned the violence and directed security personnel in the area to intensify patrols and conflict-resolution efforts.
He urged residents and community leaders in Buskuwa and Mabani to maintain peace and avoid taking the law into their own hands, warning that those found responsible would be prosecuted.
