Shooting Stars chairman, Taiwo Lekan Salami, has expressed optimism ahead of the new season, DAILY POST reports.
Shooting Stars will do battle with Inter Lagos in their opening fixture of the 2026-27 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season on Sunday August 30th.
The Oluyole Warriors will also play continental football for the first time in 27 years next season.
The Ibadan club will face Tunisian heavyweights CS Sfaxien in the first preliminary round fixture of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Salami is looking forward to a successful campaign.
“We have got a new coach in Salisu Yusuf and new players coming in. We have serious ambition for the new season,” Salami told 3SCfanTV.
“We want to do well on the continent and also we want to win the NPFL and the FA Cup.
“We have a good squad and I believe we will achieve something special this season.”
