A Ryanair flight to Leeds Bradford Airport was forced to divert mid-air following an emergency on board.

The plane had departed from Malaga, in Spain, at 10.50pm last night, and was due to arrive in Leeds at 12.50am this morning, on Wednesday, May 13, when a woman became ill.

A passenger has claimed the woman collapsed while the jet was flying over France, and it had to be diverted to Bristol 14 minutes later.

Pictures have been shared of an ambulance crews outside the plane at Bristol Airport. The passenger added the flight was grounded for about 90 minutes before it took off again at 12.45am. It arrived in Leeds at around 2.30am.
