Turkish journalist, Haşmet Babaoğlu, has criticised Galatasaray strikerx, Victor Osimhen following his latest match for his team.
Osimhen played in Galatasaray’s pre-season friendly 3-3 draw against Rennes on Sunday.
The Nigerian international faced criticism after the match when he declined the captain’s armband and reportedly turned down an offer for the vice-captaincy.
His actions fuelled intense speculation about his future and frustrations over club management.
Speaking on the development, Babaoğlu insisted that Osimhen was playing in the Rennes match as if he were playing for the transfer market.
“Osimhen, who played in the Rennes match, was as if he was playing for the transfer market,” Babaoğlu said via Libero TV.
Osimhen has been linked with a move away from Galatasaray this summer transfer window.
Galatasaray have rejected offers from several clubs for Osimhen’s transfer.
Galatasaray’s next pre-season match is against Villarreal this weekend, and Osimhen is expected to play the game.
