The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Defence, Yusuf Gadgi, has said President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila’s signatures in letters to nine agencies were correct.

Gadgi said the only incorrect signature was the one on the appointment letter of the purported Director General of the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council, PFIPC, Adeyemi Adeniyi.

Gadgi disclosed this at the National Assembly during an investigative hearing of the House of Representatives into the alleged fraudulent agency and Adeniyi’s appointment.

He said, “Letters written by the Office of the Chief of Staff to the National Security Adviser, to Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Office of the Head of the Federal Civil Service, to Ministry of foreign Affairs, to DG of DSS, to the Nigeria Police; nine different letters from the Chief of Staff to the President including some of his former signatures here that I believe are the same.

“The only signature that differs is the signature that appointed the fake DG.”

This comes as the Head of Service of the Federation, Didi Esther Walson-Jack, revealed how some staff of the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council appeared before her officials and claimed to be a new agency.

Walson-Jack disclosed that the Service has never seen anything like that since its creation.

She also revealed that the PFIPC led by Adeniyi demanded an appointment letter for its Chief Executive Officer in line with the Establishment Act.
