An 85-year-old woman has tragically died three days after she was hit by a car outside the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
The elderly woman was one of two pedestrians that were struck on Monday by a red Peugeot 208 on Little France Crescent around 3.40pm, where there have been ongoing road works.
Police have confirmed that the woman died in hospital on Thursday morning, July 23. While a 88-year-old man remains in hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
No other injuries were reported and enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
