Jeffrey Epstein’s brother says suicide note is fake: ‘I don’t buy that’

What was in Epstein’s alleged suicide note?
  • A federal court released an alleged suicide note written by Jeffrey Epstein in prison in 2019, a month before his death.
  • Epstein’s brother, Mark Epstein, called the document a “forgery,” arguing that his brother would have addressed a suicide note to a specific person.
  • Mark Epstein also claimed the July 2019 incident, where Epstein was found unresponsive, was an attack by his cellmate, Nicholas Tartaglione, not a suicide attempt.
  • The note, initially sealed, contains phrases such as “It is a treat to be able to choose one’s time to say goodbye,” and concludes with “NO FUN. NOT WORTH IT!!”
  • Mark Epstein has continued to dispute the official ruling of suicide, stating that a forthcoming review of his brother’s autopsy will prove his death was not self-inflicted.
