The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, popularly known as So-Safe Corps, has arrested a 42-year-old farmer, Ganiu Agbajo, for allegedly defiling a 12-year-old girl in Ipokia Local Government Area of the state.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the State Commander of the Corps, Commander Soji Ganzallo, through the Director of Information and Public Relations, ACC Adegunwa Adegbuyi, on Thursday.
According to the statement, the Corps received a distress report from members of the community on September 7, 2026, after the victim cried on her way home.
An eyewitness account stated that the mother questioned the girl, (name withheld), on what transpired and she alleged that she was raped by a man.

The mother was said to have raised the alarm, prompting residents to report the incident to the Corps.
Acting on the report, operatives of the Corps arrested the suspect at his residence at Hassan Compound, Igbokulu, Ita-Egbe, Ipokia.
During preliminary interrogation, the suspect reportedly confessed to the crime, saying he committed the act on his farmland located at Ojugo, Ita-Egbe.
The State Commander, Ganzallo, commended the residents for their prompt action and urged members of the public to report all unlawful and suspicious acts to the agency for appropriate action.
The statement added that the suspect has been handed over to relevant authorities for further investigation and prosecution.
