Following the accusations, Rose issued a statement apologizing for his “inappropriate behavior” and stating that he was “greatly embarrassed,” although he said he believed some of the interactions mentioned in the report were consensual.
Gaiman has strongly denied engaging in any nonconsensual sexual activity. In a statement responding to the allegations, he said he had “never engaged in non-consensual sexual activity with anyone,” while acknowledging that, looking back on some of his relationships, he had been “emotionally unavailable while being sexually available” and could have behaved better.
