Spain have won the 2026 World Cup, following a 1-0 win over defending champions Argentina on Sunday.
This is La Roja’s second world title ever, after they won it first in 2010.
Luis de la Fuente’s men were in complete control of the game from start to finish, as Argentina struggled to impose themselves.
But Spain had nothing to show for their dominance in the regular 90 minutes of play.
The first half of extra time also ended without goals, with Argentina going down to 10 men after Enzo Fernandez picked up a second booking.
However, in the opening minutes of the second half, Ferran Torres slammed home a knockdown from Nico Williams and it proved to be the winner.
