At least 12 teams have been eliminated from the 2026 World Cup ahead of Saturday’s final group fixtures.

Iraq, Uruguay, Saudi Arabia and New Zealand are the latest countries to be sent packing.

Senegal thrashed 10-man Iraq 5-0 to take third place in Group I, while New Zealand lost 5-1 to a resurgent Belgium side.

Uruguay suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to Spain, while Saudi Arabia are out despite a 0-0 draw with Cape Verde.

A total of 16 teams will eventually miss out on the knockouts.
