Labour MP Andy Burnham will today become the seventh Prime Minister in a decade.
He will take up the job after meeting the King and it is at that point his work begins.
Burnham will announce his Cabinet, with Shabana Mahmood and Ed Miliband vying for the job of Chancellor.
He is also expected to make a speech outside Number 10 in which he will give a flavour of his administration’s policies.
He is also likely to speak to world leaders, including US President Trump.
