Celebrity Traitors bosses are reportedly making big changes for their A-list cast this series. Jerry Hall, Miranda Hart, Michael Sheen and Richard E Grant have all signed up for the show this year, as well as BBC presenter Amol Rajan, The Last of Us actress Bella Ramsey and comedian James Acaster and You’re Beautiful singer James Blunt.
Comedy stars Joanne McNally and Joe Lycett, former Corrie legend Julie Hesmondhalgh and social media content creator King Kenny are also on the list as well as Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Love Island presenter Maya Jama, Industry actress Myha’la and BBC maths guru Professor Hannah Fry. Rob Beckett with be bringing laughs along with his TV sidekick Romesh Ranganathan, flanked by EastEnders star Ross Kemp and My Mad Fat Diary star Sharon Rooney plus Game of Thrones actor Sebastian Croft.

It has now been reported that BBC bosses are making some extra changes behind the scenes compared to the first series, which was won by Traitor Alan Carr.
Backstage, previously, the stars were said to have been ferried around in minibuses but this time, it is believed they will be driven around in chaffeured cars when not filming. It is also believed most people arrived by train last year, but this year, most of the stars were seen arriving by planes and private jets.
“Although most of the stars are British, so many of them are used to working in America that their teams are used to the treatment. The production team have little choice, however, than to cater for their demands because they accept the number of A-listers taking part in this year’s show makes it exceptional,” a source claimed to The Sun.
Once the filming starts this weekend, the 21 players will be separated into Traitors and Faithfuls, following lengthy interviews with presenter Claudia Winkleman and members of the production team.
It comes after fans were convinced there is a surprise twist after they spotted a clue in the announcement video. Taking to Reddit, one fan speculated: “Only 21 cast members, a secret 22nd or a late drop-out?”

Another shared their thoughts, saying: “I could see them bringing an early out from season 1 back as a surprise cast member like Paloma or Tom.” And a third said: “Danny Dyer was extremely heavily rumoured for this so it’d be funny if in Episode 2 he just gets thrown in like a grenade.”
