There’s a new print on the block for spring/summer 2026, and it’s probably not one you were expecting. Leopard print has been left in the dust, as has cow print, both making way for what fashion insiders are calling a much more elegant design: deer print.

If you aren’t already fawning over it after seeing it on the runway at Tory Burch’s A/W 25 show, you’re about to. The high street has just picked up this popular new print, making it accessible to those of us who don’t have haute couture budgets. Brands ranging from Next to Marks & Spencer are unveiling summer collections littered with the tawny design, and shoppers are already loving the touch of whimsy the deer brings.

Over at Next, for example, the Deer Print Forever Comfort High Cut Ballet Shoes, £54, have just landed, and we predict they’ll fly off shelves. Our fashion team spotted them at an early new-drops preview the other week and they were getting plenty of attention. With a high-cut silhouette and a classic round toe, these flats are made with textured pony hair and with Forever Comfort padding to keep feet feeling comfy.

If you prefer something a little bolder, Next’s Brown Deer Print Satin Midi Skirt, £35, has rave reviews from shoppers, who say it’s “very versatile”. We love how it’s been styled with a simple T-shirt with pretty lace detailing to let the print really shine.

One happyer buyer wrote: “I don’t usually buy skirts but I fancied a change from jeans I’m so glad I did this skirt and style is so slimming and flattering I am a size 16 and it fits perfect and I feel slimmer in it.”

Another Next shopper said: “Beautiful skirt. Perfect length and fit. The pattern makes it look more flattering than the plain brown I also bought, though both were nice.”

M&S also stocks Never Fully Dressed’s Deer Print Crew Neck Cardigan for £129, which makes a great wardrobe addition for this in-between season. It’s designed with a timeless crew neckline and contrasting rib-knit trims. The button-through style is knitted in a soft-touch yarn for a luxuriously cosy feel – ideal for throwing over a midi dress or pairing with jeans.

Of the cardi, one buyer wrote: “Love the pattern and the variety of colours, making it extremely versatile. Great fabric, some initial pilling as expected but easily removed with the defuzzer. Very cosy without being heavy. I have received many compliments every time I have worn it.”

At ASOS, Topshop offers the knitted deer print fitted short sleeve t-shirt. Priced at £30, it’s a fun way to get involved in the trend without going full print ahead. Pair it with a white midi skirt or some linen trousers for an office-appropriate look.

However you choose to get involved with the print this month, we guarantee you’ll be ahead of the game.
