A former Love Island star has opened up on villa life and the strict rules contestants must follow.
TV personality turned Influencer Georgia Steel featured in series four back in 2018, Love Island Games in 2023 and and the first edition of Love Island: All Stars in 2024.
Fans watching the current series have been left distracted after spotting contestant Ellie Chadwick carrying a £2,000 wicker basket Prada bag around the villa.
The Love Island cast get given their enviable wardrobes from eBay, which has been the show’s official fashion partner since 2022 and they can wear their own items too.

Speaking about the latest villa accessory, Amy Bannerman, eBay‘s Pre-Loved Style Director, previously told The Sun: “I wanted a way to add more eBay to the Islanders’ non-swimwear looks and give us an opportunity to talk about eBay’s Authenticity Guarantee (AG) offering which involves independent experts verifying high value items before they are delivered to buyers]
“There isn’t more of a focus on bags this season, but they have got more airtime from Ellie’s iconic Prada moment, which is great.”
Speaking on behalf of NetBet UK, Georgia explained: “Bags weren’t a thing when I was in there. You have your mic and you have your little mic pack and I always remember putting my lip liner in my mic pack because sometimes they close off the villa and everyone has to stay in the garden. For example, if you’re doing a recoupling it can take a long time so I would always take my lip liner in my mic bag.”

It’s been eight years since Georgia first stepped foot in the villa, yet she still recalls some of the strict rules she was required to abide by.
She explained: “You can’t go to bed until doing your Beach Hut. I always remember that because sometimes the nights would be so long and all you’d want to do is go to bed but you’d have to wait to do your Beach Hut and then you can get into bed. You were also only allowed to shower once a day before getting ready for the evening.”
The Love Island Beach Hut acts as the programme’s iconic confession booth, where contestants speak directly to camera to vent their frustrations, recap the latest drama, and share their innermost thoughts.

Every Islander is required to complete a Beach Hut session before retiring for the night, with each session running anywhere between 10 to 30 minutes. This means the remaining contestants are left waiting outside in the garden, fully dressed, until the very last sessions wrap up late into the evening.
Following her villa exit, Georgia went on to appear on Celebs on the Ranch, Celebs Go Dating, Celebrity Coach Trip, Ex on the Beach: Peak of Love and Love Island Games, though she has now set her sights on a show where she can get to grips with learning a new craft. The TV star revealed: “I’d like to a show where I’d learn something like Bake Off or MasterChef but my dream is to do Strictly.
