A gang of masked Nazi louts behind a shameful anti-immigration protest in Glasgow can now be unveiled as a chilling new right-wing mob. The shady Scots Active group, which launched last year, denies being racist and claims it “patrols” Glasgow streets to rescue women and children from criminals.

But a Record investigation has revealed that the yobs operate a sinister WhatsApp group under the banner ‘Get These C**** Out!’. The group clashed with cops, targeted ethnic minorities, and made Nazi salutes in shocking scenes from the demo in the city on June 13.

It had issued a rallying cry on the social media platform, quickly amassing 1,000 members, after attending a similar protest a few days earlier sparked by the vigilante reaction to the death of Henry Nowak in Southampton – who was murdered by a Sikh killer with a fascination for knives.

Our probe into Scots Active shows one of two admins for the ‘Get These C**** Out!’ group is its founder Darren Docherty. The other uses just the name ‘Craig’, accompanied by a photo featuring four men in Union Jack balaclavas.

Despite Docherty’s claims his group is neither far right nor racist – it was previously banned from TikTok for recruiting new members there and violating the platform’s guidelines. Docherty, a joiner, is believed to have been inspired by the fascist “active clubs” of the USA and Eastern Europe when he set up the group in 2025.

The clubs, first highlighted in the Daily Record in 2023, encourage young men and women to get fit so that they can “protect their nation’s” white heritage against invasion.

Yet Docherty professes to reject racism and states that his group stands only against illegal immigrants.

In the ‘Get These C**** Out!’ WhatsApp group he created, he makes no such distinction and hides behind the Scots Active badge while using the same phone number as he does for his business, DK Flooring.

Videos previously shared on the Scots Active TikTok account show the group’s street patrol work, including one where hooded members harass a black man.

In a recent interview with GB News on Argyle Street in Glasgow’s city centre – an area frequented by ethnic groups – Darren Docherty expresses the view that the “crackpots” will lash out and attack any passers by for no reason.

He says: “Whether it be a young woman walking by herself or a young guy walking past or a crowd of unknown people, these crackpots, they’ll just lash out and attack you if they don’t know you.”

Members of LJ’s Security Street Team were also present at the demo on June 12. LJ’s Security team state they too carry out “street patrols” to protect members of the public.

The LJ’s group has described the street walks as “looking after our own” and tells TikTok followers: “It’s time for us to stand up for our country and protect our women and children”.

Volunteers on their marches also posted videos where they harass black men they encounter, alongside filming food delivery bikes and clips where they squabble among themselves.

LJ’s security shared a further series of videos in response to the Nowak case, joining extremists like Tommy Robinson in fanning the flames of unrest on social media as the death sparked fury among right wingers.

Both LJ’s members and Scots Active previously joined forces with the similar North2South street patrol as they marched through Glasgow’s neighbourhoods in militia-style black clothing and anti-stab vests.

Condemning the disgraceful scenes in Glasgow and the activity of such groups, Scottish Labour MSP for the city Paul Sweeney said: “Racist thugs and hooligans wearing balaclavas and spreading hate have no place in society.

“It is utterly abhorrent to shout vile racist abuse, intimidate people on our streets, and to fight with police. We cannot have masked yobs spouting their toxic rhetoric rampaging across Glasgow towards places of worship. It is not acceptable and we will not stand for it.

“The truth is the people of Glasgow have always stood in solidarity with those who have come to this city in the hope of a better life. We will continue to send a clear message that they will always be welcome here.”

Stand Up to Racism spokesman Mohammed Asif said the street patrols have attracted the same people who have supported the BNP and other right wing groups.

He said: “These people always say they are not racist but their actions prove that they are. They are talking about Scotland like it is a country of kangaroo courts, where black or brown people pose a threat to white people.

“This is simply racism. It is crazy to say that police let brown people off the hook and then prosecute the white people.

“We do not deny that some crimes may be committed by immigrants but we must always look at people’s actions and not at the colour of their skin.”
