Liverpool face a crucial summer transfer window as manager Andoni Iraola begins his reign at Anfield. The Reds slumped to fifth place last season and will want to return to title contention.
New boss Iraola has already sealed his first summer signing after the club agreed a deal for Osasuna winger Victor Munoz . There has been plenty of focus on the team’s wide options, as the Reds prepare to enter the post-Mohamed Salah era.
RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande emerged as a top transfer target. Liverpool reportedly saw an £86.7million bid rejected earlier this month, with the German club valuing him closer to £112m.
Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola is another wide player who has been linked with a marquee move to the Reds. The 23-year-old was part of the squad that won Ligue 1 and retained the Champions League trophy last season.

However, PSG are claimed to have made their stance clear regarding the forward potentially leaving the club. Here, Mirror Football looks at some of the biggest stories surrounding Liverpool.
Liverpool have been constantly linked with Barcola throughout the summer window. However, the PSG winger is not for sale, despite the speculation over his future.
The Athletic reports that PSG do not need to sell Barcola, who scored 13 goals and registered seven assists last season. It is claimed that the winger is reluctant to agree a new contract, with two years left on his current deal, due to concerns over his playing time.
It is added that PSG value him at more than £116m, the sum Manchester City have agreed to pay for Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson. Barcola signed for PSG from Lyon in 2023.

Yan Diomande has admitted that he expects to leave RB Leipzig this summer. The £112m-rated winger reportedly favours a move to PSG over Liverpool, and the 19-year-old has spoken about his future.
“First of all, like I said, my dream is playing for my country and making history with my country,” he said ahead of the Ivory Coast’s round of 32 game against Norway. “I don’t have Instagram anymore, I don’t have TikTok, so I can’t see anything but I expect to leave [RB Leipzig] of course.
“I have an agent who’s going to manage the rest, but for me the most important thing right now is focusing on the World Cup with my country and making history with them.”
It has been a meteoric rise for Diomande, who signed for Leipzig from Leganes last summer. He scored 13 and assisted 10 goals in 36 games for the German side.
