The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, on Tuesday described President Bola Tinubu as a failed traitor to Nigerians.

Sowore made the remark while leaving the Kuje prison after he was temporarily remanded by an Abuja Federal High Court.

The court had granted the activist politician a N200 million bail but was temporarily returned to the Kuje Correctional Centre till he perfects the conditions for his release.

DAILY POST had earlier reported that Justice Mohammed Umar admitted Sowore to bail under stringent conditions, which require two sureties including a traditional ruler from his home community and an Abuja property owner, alongside an order to deposit his international passport.

Sowore was remaded on June 22, 2026, following a court outing where he was arraigned for calling Tinubu a criminal.

However, posting on X, Sowore maintained that he was unjustly remanded, stressing that he would never be broken.

Sowore wrote: “Leaving Kuje Prison after being unjustly incarcerated by the failed traitor to the Nigerian people, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his regime.

“Prison has never broken the resolve of those who fight for justice. If anything, it only strengthens our determination.

“The struggle continues. We will never surrender. #RevolutionNow #Sowore2027.”
