A man has been rushed to hospital after he was stabbed in Glasgow as cops scour a wooded area.

Emergency crews raced to Crossbank Crescent in the Toryglen area of the city at around 4:55pm on Monday, June 29.

The man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital but no information is available on the nature of his injuries.

One man has been arrested and police remain in the area trying to locate those responsible for the attack.

Locals reported seeing stationary police vehicles on Prospecthill Circus and Toryglen Road.

Pictures show police officers standing guard on Crossbank Crescent, with police tape locking down the street.

Another image shows a uniformed officer leaning into a van near to the Malls Mire woodlands.

A bystander explained to the Record how police swarmed on the area this afternoon.

“I saw officers searching inside the woods and there were police cars parked all over the scheme, with a number of cops walking around.

“They locked the place down all the way up to Rutherglen and had the police dogs out too.

“The house at Crossbank Crescent was taped off by police as soon as they arrived in the area.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.55pm on Monday, 29 June, 2026, police received a report a man had been stabbed on Crossbank Crescent, Toryglen.

“Emergency services attended and a man has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Officers remain in the area and enquiries to locate those responsible are ongoing.
