The series, which stands among numerous masterpiece crime dramas, chronicles a former psychic who serves as a consultant to the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI), utilising his abilities to assist in solving murder cases.

The former fraudster has a heartbreaking motivation for his work with law enforcement and he becomes determined to apprehend a serial killer known as Red John.

The Mentalist is the programme in question and it features Simon Baker as psychic Patrick Jane and Robin Tunney as his superior, senior agent Teresa Lisbon.
