JUST IN: Two trucks, car collide on Lagos road

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority has confirmed a multiple-vehicle accident involving two articulated trucks and a private car at TREM inward Gbagada along the expressway.
In a traffic update posted on its official X handle on Monday, the agency said emergency responders had been mobilised to the scene and recovery operations were underway.
“A multiple-vehicle collision involving two articulated trucks laden with cargo and one private car has occurred at TREM inward Gbagada along the Expressway,” LASTMA stated.
The agency added that, “A tow truck has been mobilized to the location, and recovery operations are currently in progress.”
LASTMA further disclosed that its Rescue and Recovery Unit had been deployed to ensure the prompt removal of the affected vehicles and to manage traffic flow around the accident scene.
“Additionally, the LASTMA Rescue and Recovery Unit has been deployed to the scene to facilitate prompt vehicle extrication and enforce effective traffic management,” the agency said.
Motorists were advised to exercise caution and expect delays in the area as emergency teams continue recovery operations.
