Tesco shoppers have been left ‘running’ to stores to see whether they can get their hands on a brand new food range that looks mouth-wateringly good. If you’re looking for something delicious to snack on during the summer months, you’ll definitely want to check out the new Asian snacks on offer, from Japan, Korea, and China. There really is something to make everyone’s taste buds tingle.

Jonny Adams Supermarket Reviews and Deals on Facebook shared a video of all the tasty treats he’d managed to find when he popped into his local store, and many people said it was on their priority list to head down now. There were stick chocolate snacks, very similar to Pocky, in a variety of flavours, such as blueberry, matcha, and popping candy.

There were also cotton candy packets in watermelon flavour, and strawberry as well. There were Oreos, one of which came in a double flavour.

Asian markets, particularly in China and Japan, often feature exclusive, limited-edition Oreos with vibrant dual-flavoured fillings. This specific one shown on the video is Oreo Blueberry Raspberry. This highly sought-after, limited-edition variety imported from Asia features a dual-flavoured cream centre that is noticeably split into purple and pink layers.

There was also a matcha-flavoured Oreo, which would go down a treat with fans of the caffeinated drink, as it definitely does seem to be one of the flavours of the moment.

There were also chocolate-flavoured mochi balls, and lychee or strawberry flavour too, if that’s more your thing.

Crisps were also a prominent feature in the haul that Jonny showed off, as there were some tasty-looking hot and spicy crisps, complete with an adorable mascot on the packet – something that UK brands really lack. There were also some ‘Asian-style chips’ in a barbecue flavour, and umami salt ones as well, which sound so more-ish. Or, if you want to push the boat out a little, you could opt for some seaweed and salt ones.

Takoyaki ball Japanese-style corn puffs were also on Tesco’s menu. Takoyaki are iconic, ball-shaped Japanese street food snacks made from a wheat-flour batter.

Originating in Osaka, these “octopus balls” feature a slightly crispy exterior and a savoury, gooey centre stuffed with a piece of octopus, tempura scraps, green onions, and pickled ginger. So while it doesn’t seem like these crisps can offer that flavour sensation, they may be well worth picking up.

There were some mini mochi sweets in various flavours as well, which, again, came with adorable mascots on the packaging.

In the comments, someone pointed out that they’re “all on offer with a Clubcard,” so if you’ve got one, they’re worth trying for a “couple of quid”.
