Around 100 firefighters are tackling a huge blaze in south-east London.
The fire is affecting a shop and storage unit on Rye Lane in Peckham, London Fire Brigade said. Images shared on X show thick plumes of smoke billowing into the sky as crews battle the blaze.
Fifteen fire engines are at the scene, with two of the brigade’s 32-metre turntable ladders being used to tackle the fire from above.
Control officers took the first of more than 30 emergency calls at 8.54pm. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
