The time has finally come for UK gamers to lay down their hard earned cash for GTA 6 as pre-orders for the game have officially gone live. After years of waiting, it’s looking pretty certain that the next title from Rockstar Games will officially launch on November 19, 2026 with the game now available to purchase at select online retailers.

If you’re looking to secure a pre-order for GTA 6 right now, I’ve scoured all the major UK retailers to find the best deals. Here’s what you need to know, including which edition you should consider buying.

At the time of writing, these are all the UK retailers I can find that are currently taking pre-orders for GTA 6:

Currently, ShopTo is the cheapest place to pre-order GTA 6 in the UK with the Standard Edition listed for £69.85.

A lot of the major UK retailers appear to be a little behind the curve when it comes to the midnight pre-order launch. I’ll update this article as soon as more of the big name brands start listing GTA 6 for pre-order.

Rockstar Games is charging £69.99 for the standard edition of GTA 6, and £89.99 for the Ultimate Edition .

When accounting for the exchange rate, this is slightly more expensive than what our American friends are being charged for with $79.99 and $99.99 translating to around £60.76 and £75.95 respectively. However, this is a fairly normal price difference between the UK and the US, with Rockstar Games only charging a slight premium over what we’d normally expect to pay for brand new, big budget titles.

Nintendo pulled a similar strategy with Mario Kart World last year. That was priced at $79.99 and £74.99 – at least for the physical editions.

  • Two decadent luxury looks for Jason and Lucia – A chic vintage pastel linen suit for Jason with a retro haircut, and a red sequin mini dress and curled hairstyle for Lucia

As you can see, there’s a fair amount of additional content included in the Ultimate Edition of GTA 6. It’s honestly up to each individual player whether they value these additional goodies enough to warrant a £20 upgrade, but it’s worth noting that Rockstar Games will allow you to upgrade to the Ultimate Edition afterwards if you change your mind.

So, if you pick up the Standard Edition first and then get FOMO later down the line, you can gain access to the Ultimate Edition content for a small upgrade fee.

Rockstar Games has confirmed that gamers shouldn’t expect to see a disc included in the box if they pre-order a physical edition of the game. “The physical version of Grand Theft Auto VI, containing a download code inside the box, will be available starting November 12 to support pre-loading”, the Rockstar website reads.

This is most likely to ensure that it’s physically impossible for GTA 6 to leak ahead of its release date – although fans are less than happy about the decision.

It remains to be seen whether the physical edition of GTA 6 will also include a map of Leonida, a tradition that’s been upheld for most Grand Theft Auto games since GTA 3.
