Dyson’s PencilWash cordless hard floor cleaner is on sale for $199.99 ($150 off) at Amazon. This is the lowest price yet for the powered wet mop that’s a cousin to the silly-sounding-but-awesome Dyson PencilVac Fluffycones vacuum.

The PencilWash basically takes the sleek styling and design of the PencilVac and simplifies it into a single-purpose electric mop. It’s designed for all manner of hard home flooring, and its slim head and pivoting neck allow it to get low to reach underneath furniture. Dyson claims you can get 30 minutes of cleaning time before you have to pop it onto the included charging dock, and the 300ml water tank is estimated to cover up to 1,000 square feet before needing a refill.

While the pencil name is cute, and the mop certainly looks svelte, keep in mind that it weighs around five pounds (heavier than the PencilVac) before adding any water or cleaning solution to its tank. But its self-propelling brush should help push that heft around your space without most of the weight being felt in your hand — until you’re mopping stairs.

$200 isn’t cheap for a single-purpose cleaning tool (let alone its full price of $350), but the PencilWash costs much less than the $600 PencilVac Fluffycones. Our own smart home reviewer, Jennifer Pattison Tuohy, called the PencilVac “the perfect companion to your robot vacuum.” The PencilWash is like the companion for that companion.
