England suffer second-game syndrome again as Tuchel’s side held to World Cup draw by Ghana
BBC report England player refused Partey handshake before Ghana match
England were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw by Ghana in their second World Cup match on Tuesday.
England were aiming to build on their opening 4-2 win against Croatia last week, but came up against stubborn opposition.
However, they struggled to create clear-cut chances, with Harry Kane missing England’s best opportunity as he fired over from close range after Nico O’Reilly hit the bar.
England have now drawn their second game at each of the last four major tournaments they have played in.
Thomas Tuchel’s side also failed to seal top spot in the group, and they are now level on four points with Ghana.
