Rod Stewart has sparked concern among fans after the rock legend nearly fainted during a recent show.
The 81-year-old British singer had to pause his concert Friday night and use an oxygen tank on stage at the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre in West Valley City, Utah, after he became noticeably winded during the performance.
Video from the performance shows Stewart doubled over and leaning on instruments and barriers before telling the crowd, “The show must go on. I nearly f***ing fainted there. Would you mind if I sit down for this one?”
After using the oxygen tank brought on stage by attendants, Stewart remained seated for the rest of the show. His representatives did not immediately return The Independent’s request for comment.
It comes after a series of concerts that Stewart has canceled for health reasons.
Just last week, less than an hour before the “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?” singer was set to take the stage June 12 in San Diego, Stewart’s team shared a statement on his Instagram saying, “Rod Stewart very regretfully has had to cancel his show tonight in Chula Vista, California.
“He travelled to the venue and made every effort to perform, but on the advice of his doctors and following a diagnosis of an acute upper respiratory infection that has resulted in laryngitis, he is unable to take to the stage this evening,” the statement said.
He later shared a picture of himself standing on stage in the empty venue and admitted to fans in the post that he was still having issues with his voice.
“Following treatment, I’m feeling much better, but my voice is not,” he said.

The singer posted an Instagram video showing him and his two sons, Aidan and Alastair, on a private jet en route to Boston to cheer on Scotland during the country’s first group stage game against Haiti. He was also reportedly shown enjoying an alcoholic drink in the stands at the event.
He raised eyebrows again just a few days later, when he postponed his shows scheduled for June 15 and 16 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, to September 2027.
The former Faces frontman is currently on the North American leg of his One Last Time tour, which launched in 2024 and has been billed as his farewell to large-scale touring.
Earlier this month, Stewart had to cancel two Las Vegas shows on his doctor’s advice.
“I’m awfully sorry…,” he wrote in a June 4 statement on Instagram. “My doctor ordered a bit more rest while I recover from the flu. Thanks for your love and understanding — Rod.”
His next show is scheduled for July 31 in Wantagh, New York.
