Nile Rodgers didn’t let the rain put him or his bandmates off at TRNSMT.

He and the band showed the soaking scenes from the stage during the worst of the weather at Glasgow Green.

As the band got together under the cover of umbrellas at the side of stage his backing crew sang No Scotland No Party and a voice, thought to be Niles, could be heard saying: “We don’t care. We don’t care if there’s a downpour or a hurricane at TRNSMT we don’t care.”

The weather meant Nile had to forgo his daily walk around town ahead of the gig but he got plenty of exercise on stage as he performed a host of his productions including We Are Family and Bowie’s Let’s Dance.

Cammy Barnes still managed to play the bagpipes through the drizzle at TRNSMT as he proved he’s still as down to earth as ever before the big game.

He admitted he was nervous about the game adding: “I’m opening TRNSMT and I’m closing it as the headliner. I think I’m the first to do it. I’m a wee bit nervous. I hope we get the big win tonight.

“We deserve it especially as it’s raining the whole day. It’s typical Scotland weather but it’s not bothering anyone. There’s hundred of Scotland fans out there with ponchos.
