Arsenal’s title win is the story of control and overperformance

The Premier League fixtures for the 2026/27 season are set to be revealed as the 20 top-flight clubs find out their fate for the campaign ahead.

Each side will, of course, play the same 19 opponents home and away but the schedule is always an item of interest as managers and players start plotting their way through the season. Arsenal will embark as champions for the first time in more than two decades, and Mikel Arteta’s men will hope for a strong start as they look to back up that success.

Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea are among a large contingent of clubs under new management with a fresh look to this year’s Premier League. Joining them are promoted trio Coventry City, Ipswich Town and Hull City, who will ready themselves for a few tough tests and entertaining outings after elevation from the Championship.
