- Pruitt applied to 270 colleges and universities, aiming to surpass a national record of 231 acceptances.
- He usedthe College Board’s Direct Admissions programme and the Common App.
- Despite being rejected by his “dream school,” Dartmouth College, he was accepted into all but six of the institutions he applied to.
- Pruitt ultimately chose Knox College, a liberal arts school in Illinois, which offered him a financial aid package worth $260,000 over four years.
