I’ve been busy pulling together plans for summer adventures over the coming months. From hiking and camping to travelling abroad, gearing up for peak season and some of my favourite moments of the year is something I never take lightly.
I first got into hiking back in high school in Arizona, when my dad and I would wake up at 2am in the summer, drive out to the mountains and start our hikes in the dark, then head back down just as the sun began to rise. It was my version of a World Cup – although I was never particularly sporty, I always got excited by the outdoors and the challenge of it.
The thing about hiking with my dad, though, was that he always carried everything. Fast forward to doing it on my own, and I quickly realised just how important a good bag really is. That set me on a bit of a mission to find something that could actually handle it all. That is, until I came across the motion adventure pack.
Created by Stubble & Co, this is a 38-litre bag available in charcoal or ash. It measures 57cm x 34.5cm x 16cm, which makes it compliant for Jet2, but just slightly over the allowed dimensions for most other airlines. With that in mind, it’s best suited for weekend camping or hiking trips, or as a sturdy option for commuting when you need to carry a bit more than usual. Keep reading for my full review after I put the bag properly to the test on the trails.
