After 28 long years the wait is finally over. Scotland have arrived – we’re finally here.
I was three years old the last time we qualified for a World Cup in 1998. I don’t have any memories of that tournament – and you could forgive me for thinking a few years ago that I’d never get to experience it.
But yet here we are in Boston preparing to go toe to toe with the best on the planet – and the atmosphere has already been incredible.
As we arrived at Glasgow Airport, excited fans were kitted out in their Scotland tops and kilts – and we all just couldn’t wait to get over there.

Families with young kids – fathers and sons who thought they would never get to experience this together – stepping off the plane preparing for the greatest show on earth.
Waking up in the city on Thursday morning, the weather was already unbearable – but it didn’t take long for the party to get in full swing.
We slapped on the factor 50 and headed straight into the city centre. Soon enough we were met with the glorious sight of saltires, with the usual chants being blasted out as we announced our arrival on the biggest stage of all.
Our fans have waited too long for this moment to come – and we’re not going to waste a minute of it.
Hopeful supporters gave us their predictions for Saturday night, with every one of them predicting a win against Haiti.
But even before a ball is kicked it feels like we have won already. Qualification alone seemed like an impossible task not too long ago and we now just have to make the most of this experience. Anything else that comes with it will be a welcomed bonus.
