Two charged with murder over death of 12-year-old boy in Essex

  • A 12-year-old boy, Bobby Bloomfield, died after being hit by a vehicle in Pilgrims Hatch, Brentwood, on Sunday.
  • William Lunnon, 43, and a 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have both been charged with murder in connection with Bobby’s death.
  • Both individuals have been remanded in custody and are due to appear before a magistrates’ court.
  • Four additional people – two men aged 65 and 54, and two women aged 65 and 45 – have been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
  • Bobby’s family released a statement expressing their profound grief, and Essex Police continue to appeal for information to assist their ongoing investigation.
