Beautifully minimal
Many health-focused smartwatches look big and bulky, while Oura Ring is comparably svelte. Impressively, the latest iteration is 40 per cent smaller than previous generations, and ultra thin and remarkably lightweight, while the company’s signature premium aesthetic carries through. Designed to slot seamlessly into any ring stack, it comes in six finishes including gold, deep rose, brushed silver and stealth.
Built for your everyday

A smart ring is for everyday wear, so comfort and durability are paramount. With this in mind, the new Oura Ring is created to come with a smoother, more comfortable design and a more scratch-resistant coating. Waterproofing isn’t new to Oura Ring but it’s featured again here, to protect the smart tech from daily showers or submersion in the pool.
Smarter design for more precision
The usefulness of a smart ring relies entirely on its accuracy. Designed to be more accurate and reliable than previous generations, Oura Ring 5 has been re-engineered and reconfigured. New sensors, the brand says, will allow for better skin contact and more precise personal health data and greater accuracy across more finger types and skin tones.
A holistic way to health

The newest iteration of Oura Ring, similarly to the rest of the Oura lineup, will allow you to see what’s happening in your body 24/7 via a suite of best-in-class tracking. Instead of delivering swathes of data with no context, it’ll turn your metrics into daily insights you can actually use – whether that’s sleep patterns so you can figure out how to feel more rested, stress so you can ward off burnout, or readiness so you know when to push yourself in the gym.
In terms of what’s new, Oura Ring 5 brings extra features, too, including women’s health features such as new menopause insights and a hormonal birth control tracking feature, and continuous monitoring of biometric patterns it’ll use to flag potential health issues early on.
Battery life that won’t let you down
In an ideal world, we’d never have to recharge a smart ring. But in reality we’ll settle for an impressively long battery life. Oura Ring 5 is said to last six to nine days, with variations depending on how you’re using it and what size ring you have. And for those times when it inevitably runs out of juice and you need it to be ready to go again as quickly as possible, it’s billed as taking between 20 to 80 minutes to charge. Meanwhile, Oura Ring Charging Case will deliver up to five charges itself before needing to be recharged also.
