Detectives are appealing for information following the assault and robbery of a man in New Stevenston.

The incident happened around 10.15pm on Thursday, May 28, on Carfin Street.

The 24-year-old man was approached by three men, one of whom had a dog, who assaulted and robbed him. Personal items were taken. The dog also injured the man.

Detective Constable Josh Ellwood said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact us.

“We’d also ask anyone with private CCTV or dashcam footage that could assist our enquiries to come forward.”
