Kerry Katona‘s ex husband Brian McFadden took a swipe at the singer in Father’s Day joke, seemingly reigniting their feud despite her claiming they are “friends now”. In a clip posted TikTok by someone who went to a Westlife concert, the Irish singer admitted to doing things just to “p***” Kerry off.

Brian, who was married to Kerry from 2002-2006 and shared two daughters with her, said of their wedding: “I wore white just to p*** her off.” He then added: “It’s ok, it’s ok. We’re friends now… I follow her on Facebook.”

Turning his attention to their daughters, Molly Marie and Lilly-Sue, her added: “We have two beautiful daughters, you know they’re not even little girls anymore, they’re women. So we’ve kinda buried the hatchet, we’ve made friends.”

But despite insisting they are friends, he still took a dig at his ex and said: “But I will say one thing – it’s a f***ing nightmare getting parking outside her house on Father’s Day. I have to park at the f***ing NCP and walk two miles to her house. I’m like, ‘Hang on a sec, I’ve f***ing got two of those kids, surely I get a priority spot, no? Fast track.”

Kerry has five children in total. Two are by Brian and she had another two with taxi driver Mark Croft – a son and a daughter called Maxwell and Heidi. In 2014, she had her fifth child, a daughter called DJ, she had with rugby league player George Kay.

On stage, Brian added: “No, I’m only joking. I’m only joking. Course I don’t f***ing follow her on Facebook.” The jokes were met with many laughs from fans. The fan who posted it on TikTok this past week was clear that it was not a recent video, saying it was taken a few years ago.

In the comments, many slammed Brian for what he said. One asked: “Why don’t I find this funny coming from him?” Another said it was “not ok” and a third wrote that it was “so disrespectful”.

Kerry has spoken about her fraught relationship with Brian before. She told Matt Foister on his Meeting… podcast that sh ewished they were friends.

“I really wish me and Brian were friends. I said that to Lily yesterday because she was going to [Westlife’s] concert to watch and I said, I wish I could come.”

Speaking openly on Paul C. Brunson’s We Need To Talk podcast, which was released last year, Kerry also said she felt cherished throughout their time together. “He was so funny and he really loved me. We were so in love, Paul, so affectionate and it was great.”

In a touching reflection, she confessed that Brian was the first individual who showed real care for her, explaining: “I think he was the first proper person who genuinely cared about my well-being. Do you know what I mean? I told him what happened in my life. He said ‘I’m going to take you away from all that.’ He was my knight in shining armour.”

While Kerry is now dating Paolo Margaglione after meeting him last year on Celebs Go Dating, Brian has been with his wife Danielle Parkinson since 2016. The two got engaged in 2019 and tied the knot last year. Together, they have a daughter, Ruby Jean.
