A man has been arrested with road traffic offences after a car overturned on a residential Scots street. Footage shared on social media shows the car on its side in the middle of Cochrane Street in Bathgate, West Lothian.
A man can be seen exiting the vehicle with two girls standing alongside, reports Edinburgh Live. Two other people appear to rush over from their house.
The hazard lights of the car are flashing, and the airbags appear to have been deployed. The incident occurred just before midnight on June 6. Police raced to the scene shortly afterwards.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.50pm on Saturday, 6 June, 2026, we were called to a crash on Cochrane Street, Bathgate. A 46-year-old man was arrested in connection with road traffic offences.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
