A BBC star has shared an update on a gruesome health injury after his bicep “ripped”.
Gladiator Matt Morsia revealed part of him was “hanging off” after an accident while filming.
The athlete is part of the line-up of the new generation of Gladiators, having joined the likes of Steel and Fury on the BBC revival, which began in 2024.
Appearing on Sunday Brunch this weekend (June 7) alongside the likes of Fearne Cotton and Talia Mar, Matt shared a health update after undergoing surgery last year.
When asked how his injury was, having previously spoken about it, Matt gave a gruesome response.

“I detached my bicep, so it was just hanging off,” he revealed.
Matt explained he was taking part in a Gladiators game that was “really high up” where he was “tackling” a contender.
He said: “I dived, grabbed the contender but he’d managed to hold on to the big post at the end, so I had flown off and my arm ripped behind me.
“I thought I’d ripped his vest off because I heard this massive rip. Turned out, it was just my bicep.”

Sharing an update on his health now, Matt added: “It’s all good now.”
Matt had previously shared his injury on social media, after undergoing surgery last year and saying it was “the worst [time] of my life”.
He shared: “A few weeks ago I tore my distal bicep tendon off the bone whilst filming Gladiators. Surgery went really well and I’m gonna be back in no time because I’m a genetic freak, but I’ll be honest & say the last three weeks have easily been the worst of my life.
“I had intense post-operative sickness, didn’t eat for 12 days, and lost around 15kg in bodyweight. You can watch my YouTube video for more detail, but for now I’m off to eat some pizza and do some 1kg bicep curls.
