A Scottish man recently went hiking along a coast when he stumbled on a view he could “stay at all morning”. Our country has a lot to offer, from abandoned castles with breathtaking views to hidden cafes with gorgeous scenery.
Now if you love the sea, then you’ll absolutely admire this one location which you could easily spend all morning at. David, known as the Scottish Man in a Van, loves to explore the highlands. Just recently, he journeyed along the coastline where he stumbled on a view point which was all too good to miss. In fact, he could easily spend hours there, just listening to the waves.
Posting with his TikTok followers, David visited Moray Coast which sits on the north and east of Inverness. He said: “This is a place I could stay at all morning.
“Look at that view and just listen to these waves crashing in off the rocks and the pebbles, and you get that hissing and crackling sound as the waves retreat.
“Just take 30 seconds to enjoy this experience with me.”
The Moray Coast boasts dramatic cliffs, pristine sandy beaches and quaint 17th-century fishing villages.
It’s known as a haven for wildlife and marine life, which is celebrated for its dolphins, coastal walking trails and rich maritime heritage.
If you’re travelling from Aberdeen, this car journey can take you just under 2 hours, covering 79 miles. Taking the train is around 1 hour and 40 minutes with 0 changes.
Meanwhile if you’re already in the north east, this should be a fairly straight-forward journey. It can still take about an hour by car if you’re coming from Inverness.
Once you’ve arrived at Moray Coast, you’re spoilt for choice. Some of the highlights include visiting the Bow Fiddle Rock, which is a naturally sculpted rock resembling the tip of a violin bow. This is located just off the coast of Portknockie.
Meanwhile, dolphin watching is also a popular thing to do. Head to Spey Bay to visit the Scottish Dolphin Centre or book a thrilling wildlife RIB tour.
