A woman has been charged in connection with an attempted murder after a man was found with serious injuries at a home in Glasgow following a disturbance.

Emergency crews rushed to Ballater Street in the Gorbals area of the city in the early hours of Friday, June 5. An alarm was raised around 1.45am after police received a report of a 30-year-old man being found injured at a property.

Upon attendance, the man was blue-lighted to hospital for treatment to serious injuries. It’s understood that the incident followed an earlier disturbance which is believed to have happened around 8pm in the nearby area.

A 33-year-old woman, who was previously arrested, has now been charged in connection with attempted murder. She is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, June 8.

A 30-year-old man was also arrested in connection with the incident and released pending further enquiries.

Detective Inspector Bruce Fyfe said: “This was an isolated incident and our investigation to establish the full circumstances is continuing.

“There will be a continued police presence in the area and anyone with concerns can approach these officers.

“I would again ask any witnesses who haven’t already spoken to police to please get in touch. In addition, anyone with any relevant CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage is asked to come forward.”
