  1. A new series of E4’s Celebs Go Dating kicked off this week with seven new unlucky-in-love famous faces turning to the show’s Celebrity Dating Agency for help. This year’s cast includes musician Professor Green, Love Island star Gabby Allen and Loose Women regular, Coleen Nolan.
  2. This year marks the show’s fifteenth series with the format relatively unchanged since its debut back in 2016. The celebrities go on dates, mix and mingle with regular people who have applied to date famous faces, and receive tough love from expert matchmakers Paul C Brunson, Anna Williamson and Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn.
  3. However, the current line-up of matchmakers were not always in place. Previously Eden Blackman and Nadia Essex anchored the show, alongside long-standing receptionist Tom Read-Wilson.
  4. Long-time fans were gutted when Eden left the show in 2018. He quit to focus on his music PR agency and dating app ‘Would Like to Meet’.
  5. In June 2025, he died at the age of 57 after battling a long illness. His family announced the tragic news on Instagram, saying: “We are heartbroken to share that our beloved Eden passed away on 21 June 2025, after carrying a long illness with quiet grace.”
  6. They described him as someone who “blazed through life with charm, mischief and a fire that was entirely his own” and said music was his “first love and constant companion”.
  7. Tributes flooded in from celebrities including Fearne Cotton, who called him “the most charismatic, beautiful human”, whilst Tom Read-Wilson praised his “kindness and generosity of spirit”.
