The England team will have a night out in Florida before heading off to their World Cup HQ.

Manager Thomas Tuchel plans to give the team some time off following their second warm-up game against Costa Rica on Wednesday. England v New Zealand takes place tomorrow as manager Thomas Tuchel gets the chance to run the rule over his squad in the heat and humidity.

A break after our second friendly before the tournament means captain Harry Kane and his side will get the chance to relax together. And they can see family and friends who have already arrived in the US.

“It will be a chance for the team to unwind before they head off to Kansas,” said a source. “More importantly, they can spend time with their families.”

England WAGs are heading for the States and Kane, 32, was pictured with his wife, Kate, at their training base in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. She wrote simply: “Recharged” in a post after the team had completed a tough session in the heat and humidity.

Mark Bellingham, father of midfielder Jude, and Noel Scott, father of Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott, have also made the trip. Jordan Pickford’s wife, Megan, 30, is understood to be traveling to the US after a Caribbean break.

The players’ families were encouraged to holiday with the stars in the same time zone before the squad met for training. Arsenal stars were given extra time off due to the Champions League final at the weekend but are due to join the camp before the team heads off to their training HQ in Kansas City.

Bukayo Saka’s girlfriend Tolami Benson, 26, and Chelsea captain Reece James’s partner Mia McClenaghan are due to attend the games. Former boss Gareth Southgate, cutting the ribbon to officially open a £21.9m redevelopment project at a West Yorkshire children’s hospice today, said: “The great thing now is that as a group of players they have been through so many hurdles.

“They are in the mix. There is an expectation among themselves that they will be in the latter stages of a tournament. They will win a tournament at some stage. I have become a fan again now.”
